A scanned copy of the handwriting or print works best but I can also work with a photo of the handwriting or print if photographed in good lighting. Please keep in mind that the quality of the handwriting or print sent to me will determine how well it engraves onto the lighter (If it is on lined paper or very light it may have to be edited so that it transfers better to the blade). For handwriting if you are able to get the loved ones handwriting it is best to have them write on a plain white sheet of paper with black marker. The handwriting will be sized and edited in a way that fits best on the lighter.
For prints the easiest way to capture a print is use a black non-toxic ink pad and lightly cover your loved ones foot, hand, finger with ink. Use a white sheet of paper with a hard book or other non-giving surface behind it and press their foot, hand, finger lightly onto the paper. You may want to take a few sets of prints so I can choose which one will transfer best. I can also use an existing print you may have. Your prints will be sized and edited in a way that fits best on the blade.
There is an option in the drop down menu to have more than one print or handwriting on the lighter. I can add multiple prints or handwriting samples onto your lighter for the front and back.
